Bettina Lilac and Pink Water Marble

Hello Lacquer Luvers! I'm really excited to share today's post with you guys! As you all know, water marbling is one of my favorite types of nail art. It's been so long since I've had a chance to get one done and I'm really happy with the results of this one.

This is a Bettina marble and the colors that I used were Marshmallow, Haze & Giacinto. I began with a coat of Essie Feed Me followed by one coat of Bettina Marshmallow. I then began to build my bullseye in the water with the three colors and proceeded with the design. I topped this off with HK Girl topcoat.

I really love how delicate and girly this mani came out. The design is one of my favs for marbling, too! Have you guys tried water marbling? I know it's alot of work and very hard to get right but the results are always beautiful and unique. As always, I hope you all liked this post my dear Lacquer Luvers and I look forward to sharing my next post with you, xo!

A Sugar Rush Splatter

Hello Lacquer Lovers! Today's post features what was probably Walgreens' most anticipated collection for Spring. The Sugar Rush Collection by Sinful Colors contains 7 new pastel shades and 1 preexisting shade that are sure to send you on an eye candy high.

L-R Unicorn, Orange Cream, Cotton Candy, Sugar N Spice, Sweet Tooth, Candy Coated, Sugar Rush, Sweet Nothing

My mani began with a base of Essie Feed Me followed by two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I used Unicorn, Cotton Candy, Sweet Tooth & Sugar Rush for the splatter. This look is achieved by dipping the end of a straw into a puddle of polish and blowing short quick puffs of air into the other end. HK Girl topcoat completed my manicure.

I really love how fun and easy these splatters are. The end results are always unique, too!

Above is a photo of a manicure using some of the Sugar Rush polishes. I applied 2 coats of Snow Me White and used a makeup sponge to create this gorgeous gradient with Cotton Candy, Sweet Tooth & Sugar Rush. The candies were stamped using my Konad Special white polish & a Bundle Monster image plate (BM306). The gradient for this mani made it so hard not to stare at my nails all day, I loved it!

So Lacquer Luvers, do you have the Sugar Rush Collection? Which are your favorite colors? Both of these manicures were really fun and I'm excited to hear what you all think of them! As always, I hope you all liked this post my dear Lacquer Luvers and I look forward to sharing my next post with you, xo!

Holographic Gradient With Striping Tape

Hello Lacquer Luvers! Hope all is well with you guys! Today's post is a striping tape gradient manicure that I did a while ago but I love it so much I wanted to share with you guys. It features the three holographic polishes from Zoya's Ornate Collection.

My mani began with a base of Essie grow Faster. I proceeded to paint my pinky, index and thumb Zoya Storm. Storm is a black base with scattered holographic particles, it's amazing! I then painted my ring and middle fingers with Blaze. Blaze is a magic in a bottle. I believe I wore this color at least 4 times already. I can't get enough of that gorgeous berry toned red.

I applied striping tape to my accent nails in the same pattern. Using a makeup sponge, I created a gradient over the striping tape using Storm, Blaze and Aurora. Aurora is a scattered holo that's purple perfection! I removed the striping tape once i was done with the gradient and topped it all off with HK Girl topcoat.

In person the gradient appeared to have been suspended over the base. It was really cool and I got a lot of compliments on it! How did you guys like this collection? Have you done a striping tape manicure? As always, I hope you all liked this post my dear Lacquer Luvers and I look forward to sharing my next post with you, xo!

Springy Skittlette

Hello Lacquer Luvers! Today's post features a manicure style that I have grown to love. The first time I saw a skittlette was on Marta of ChitChatNails. A skittlette is also referred to as a "kitchen sink" manicure. These manicures contain a variety of designs and colors that make each nail different. Marta continuously impresses me with her choices of colors and nail art. She is amazing at this and I encourage you all to go take a look at her blog if you aren't already following her!

My manicure began with a base of Essie Feed Me. I chose three colors for this: CoverGirl Coral Silk, Zoya Neely and Bettina Marshmallow. My pinky was painted with two coats of Neely. I then used striping tape and the other polishes for my diagonal lines design. Two coats of Coral Silk were applied to my ring finger and I stamped the lace design on using Konad special polish in white and their M71 image plate. I used Marshmallow, Neely and a dotting tool for my middle finger. On my index is Neely and this cute bow that is found on Konad M59. Not shown is my thumb which is just Coral Silk. My mani was completed with a coat of HK Girl topcoat.

I adore this so much! The colors are so gorgeous together and I love how pretty and girly this came out! Have you tried a skittelette? If you haven't you should, they're fun! As always, I hope you all liked this post my dear Lacquer Luvers and I look forward to sharing my next post with you, xo!

GeiGei:  A blushing cherry blossom pink with a metallic finish. This light shade is perfect for anytime of the year and was another runway shade created for Zang Toi. (3 coats)

Blu: A delicate blue creme. This shade is so beautiful! It reminded me of my son when he was a baby. (2 coats)

Jacqueline: A light creamy beige that's perfect and warm. This magnolia nude creme is incredibly pretty with it's glossy finish. Jacqueline was a custom shade for fashion designer Peter Som. (2 coats)

Neely: A fun spring green with a vintage edge. Definitely my favorite of the collection! This shade was a custom color created for the runways of fashion designer Peter Som. (2 coats)

Neely, Jacqueline & Blu

Zoya Pixie Dust Swatches, Review & Nail Art

Hello Lacquer Luvers! Today I have swatch photos and a review of Zoya's Pixie Dust Collection. This 6 piece collection is absolutely stunning with it's textured formula that gives your nails a sparkling matte appearance. The Pixie Dust polishes intrigued me with their sugary look and I was very excited to see how these apply and wear.

Godiva: Soft nude with a sugary sparkle! This is the shade that I wanted to try the most. Zoya has been known to do nudes really well and I had high hopes for a nude textured polish. I was mezmerized as each coat went on. The sparkles that accompany the texture reminded me so much of the beach. I adore this one! (3 coats)

Nyx: The perfect periwinkle! I couldn't stop staring at my nails after I applied Nyx. Upon seeing the collection as a whole I thought she'd be my least favorite but to my surprise, Nyx is actually my favorite! I loved this shade of blue and how the silver metallic sparkles popped with it. So pretty! (2 coats)

Vespa: A gorgeous mint that shines! I'm sure you guys remember how much I love green. Mint shades are a must this Spring and this is one that will dazzle your fingertips. (2 coats)

London: A foggy gray with silver sparkles! This shade of grey is one of my favorites. The silver sparkles are a really great match for the charcoal base. (2 coats)

Chyna: Dazzling red! Unlike the other Pixie Dust shades, this gorgeous girl contains red sparkles whereas the others are all silver. My photos really don't do this any justice. This shade reminded me of Dorothy's shoes, so pretty! (2 coats)

Dahlia: The black beauty! Second favorite of the bunch for me. The texture and sparkles had me swooning over my nails. Love! (2 coats)

I was even able to have a little nail art fun with these Pixie polishes! The above photo was for a best friend twin nails tag on Instagram. Sahyly and I decided to do leopard print mani's using Godiva & Dahlia. My nails were stamped using a Konad image plate. I was so amazed that the texture was smooth enough for me to pull this off! Sahyly freehanded her leopard print. Aren't these beautiful?

So one night I was watching TV and saw ALF! It got me thinking about my childhood and I instantly came up with this idea. London, Dahlia and Chyna were used for my Nintendo inspired manicure. I bet you can hear the theme music to Mario in your head right now, ha!!

When I first heard that Zoya was making a textured collection I wasn't sure how I felt about it. On one hand I thought they would feel really weird and that the texture would bother me. Afterall, I can't stand when glitter or any other medium sticks up on nails and use coats and coats of my favorite topcoat to smooth it out. However, I was really surprised that the texture didn't bother me at all. In fact, I really liked how different it was. The sparkles that are in these are really what make them so special. They dance with the matte texture! These were all applied without base or topcoat and can be purchased at zoya.com for $9/bottle. Zoya just announced that there will be a Summer Pixie collection, here's a promo shot of it:

Which from this collection and which from the Summer collection are your favorites? How do you like the texture polishes? As always, I hope you all liked this post my dear Lacquer Luvers and I look forward to sharing my next post with you, xo!
